Matthew Sillett

Matthew is a partner in the firm and leads our Corporate, Technology and Banking and Finance team, specialising in general corporate and banking law and acting for a range of clients across various business sectors.

His experience includes company start-ups, shareholders’ agreements, venture capital investments, private equity buy-outs, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, commercial agreements (including a wide range of technology-related transactions), employment-related matters (including share incentives) and banking and finance transactions (for both lenders and borrowers).

Representative matters include: acting for technology companies on their seed and VC funding rounds; private company M&A; advising on high value software and related commercial contracts (both in the private and public sector); refinance of substantial property portfolio.  Recent transactions have including clients in the following business sectors: IT (systems integration, data processing, big data, software development, content licensing, information security, identity verification and others); travel and leisure; financial services; automotive and related support services; gaming/gambling; consumer goods; construction.
